You recently cloned an old hard drive to a new SSD and managed to boot Windows 7 again. However, you didn’t hear any sound. Attempts to install drivers were unsuccessful, the troubleshooter didn’t help, and no playback device appeared. Since it’s an HP laptop, you downloaded the HP support assistant to check hardware detection, but it indicated missing speakers or microphones. You checked Device Manager, updated drivers, removed the driver, and even deleted it—suspecting a possible audio component was wiped. No audio category shows up now. How can I get back from this situation?
