Could 32GB of RAM improve your experience?
I need to check my PC setup for the upcoming Assassin's Creed Shadows. I currently have 16GB of RAM, split between two 8GB modules. I'm considering switching to 32GB, but the RAM I own is from Kingston Predator models that are no longer produced. I can only replace them with the newer Kingston Beast series. It's a costly choice since I'm not replacing just one module but swapping the whole set. I'm also curious if this upgrade is still necessary for 2025 and whether it will actually improve my gameplay. My other specs include a B450 Mobo, Ryzen 7 5700X3D, and an RTX 3080 Ti with 1440p at 165Hz with G-Sync.
Consider giving the game a try and see if you need more. Are you usually using around 16GB of memory? Well, you're the only one who can tell. Edit: We can guess and recommend, but the choice is yours. Personally, I wouldn't go below 32GB RAM unless you're running a 1080p machine. That's just my opinion—I'm the one who tried 4x16 DDR5 to get 64GB the old-fashioned way.
Unless you have visual OCD, that's not a thing. You can pretty much get whatever stick you want, and it should work just fine. That said, I don't see much of a point in investing in dead technology, anything you buy now will be wasted whenever you change your platform. If you're doing fine with 16gb, I'd stick to it and not really buy any extra.
