Hello everyone!
I’d love to gather as many views, ideas, and opinions as possible about custom air CPU coolers.
I’m considering purchasing the Hyper 212 EVO and swapping its fan for one of the following: NF F12 INDUSTRIALPPC 3000 PWM, SP120 HIGH PERFORMANCE, or MASTERFAN PRO AIR PRESSURE.
What are your thoughts? Would this setup work better?
Anyone with experience as a “CPU cooler expert” would really appreciate it.
Also, a quick question: is ARCTIC MX-4 a suitable thermal paste, or is there a more affordable alternative in its price range (around 5$)?

I would suggest Deepcool GRAMMAXX 400 as a more affordable option compared to 212 EVO with comparable performance.
Alternatively, CRYORIG H7 is slightly pricier than 212 EVO but offers good value.
Swapping the cooler fan isn't essential and may not justify the extra cost, particularly for budget models.
since you moved to the EU version, that fan can spin at 2000 rpm. try adding another fan to help reduce temperature by a few degrees. it includes paste, but the max 4 is a good spare option. check your specs—currently around 28°C under load, and keep it below 50°C during operation.
