Cost-free performance testing tools for high-resolution displays.
I’m curious about some suitable, no-cost performance assessment tools for testing at 1440p resolution. It appears that most readily available free options are limited to 1080p or 4k displays. I’m considering running games myself, but haven't yet completed my Steam library setup as I am constructing a new computer and wish to compare the capabilities of my previous graphics card against the performance of the updated system before installing it. Thank you for your assistance.
If a system’s performance is superior to another’s at 1080 resolution, it will likely exhibit a similar percentage improvement when running at 1440 resolution. This is generally true unless there’s a significant upgrade, such as switching from a 1GB NVIDIA 710 to an 8GB RX 580. You can often find numerous pre-existing benchmarks for the specific graphics card you’re using to review.
I’ve heard this performance test is impressive, but I'm unsure about its suitability for 1440p resolution.
If a system performs noticeably quicker than another one at 1080p resolution, it will likely experience a similar percentage improvement when running at 1440p. You can also consult existing benchmark tests for the specific graphics card you’re currently using to see how it performs.
