Hello, here’s the setup I had before you shared my issue:
- Ryzen 5 1400 (Ryzen 3700x scheduled for Tuesday)
- 32 Go Corsair LPX 3600MHz C18 (8+8+8+8)
- Asus TUF B450 Plus Gaming (BIOS updated)
My RAM is locked in Windows at 2133, which prevents it from reaching its full speed. I’ve tried many searches online and followed your test steps, but nothing worked.

If I have RAM A, B, C, D and slots 1, 2, 3, or 4, activating XMP lets me push speeds up to 3200MHz—but never beyond that.
When I try combining all four in any configuration, I get stuck at 2666MHz and run into a lot of Windows bugs.

I’ve read somewhere that 32GB Ryzen models struggle with RAM, but is this really the case? Could you suggest a BIOS setting or configuration that might help? Also, what’s causing these issues when I switch from two to four RAMs? Please advise—I really appreciate your help!

PS: I’m French and not very fluent in English, but I take your forum seriously.

My SOC voltage is set at 1.20V and I can adjust it if needed, but I believe 1.20 is sufficient. It might be related to my processor—Ryzen 5 1400. The issue could improve after upgrading to a 3700x.
