Hi, I just assembled a PC with some RGB components. I have an ASUS ROG STRIX B550-A Gaming motherboard and Corsair Vengeance PRO (2x8 GB). The packaging claims Aura Sync support, but it isn't functioning. In Armoury Crate, I only see the motherboard and ARGB connector; no RAM is visible. When I open iCUE, I can see the RAM details. Both Crate and iCUE are up to date. I've tried different installation sequences and a Corsair plugin to enable Aura Sync and iCUE. Any advice on resolving this? I might find limited information online, mostly pointing to similar fixes—install iCUE first, then Aura Sync, and finally the plugin. Thanks for your help.

iCUE is compatible with ASUS and other RGB devices, though they need the respective software installed beforehand. For your setup, it appears you're aiming to use Armory Crate to manage Corsair RGB RAM—this functionality isn't directly supported by iCUE unless the software is properly configured first.

It really aligns with what I expected, though I wasn't anticipating this level of compatibility, particularly with the "supports aura sync" feature. I'll need to go with the icue option then. Appreciate the help!

I struggled to fall asleep and didn’t manage to understand the issue or find a clear resolution. Eventually, I discovered a partial fix. It seemed the latest iCUE version from Corsair’s official site doesn’t include an option to enable full software control. I checked an older release that couldn’t even detect the RAM. After updating to version 3...something, the installation worked and the RAM appeared. However, control remained limited to basic patterns. Armoury Crate failed to recognize the RAM, which makes sense since the plugin is only for Aura Sync, not Aura Crate. I’ll explore ways to manually adjust default patterns or add it as a workaround, though that seems unlikely. If I find anything useful, I’ll share it here. EDIT: One additional boot resolved the problem—I’m relieved it finally worked.

I work with Gigabyte RGB Fusion, ASUS Armory Crate, Corsair iCUE, and Razer Synapse. The most intrusive options are ASUS Armory Crate and Razer Synapse, which require many processes and high RAM usage. If I could handle everything, I’d consolidate everything into just one software from Gigabyte or another. Keeping all these programs in sync is really frustrating.

It's unclear exactly what occurred, but after another restart the RAM appeared in the aura creator. I can picture the frustration of mixing parts from different brands. I’ll take this into account when shopping next time. I wasn’t expecting such compatibility issues.
