I just assembled my PC and everything is running smoothly. After some gaming sessions, I noticed a faint noise coming from the AIO pump. It’s a Corsair iCUE H150 RGB 360 mm water cooler with the radiator on top. Is this typical or should I be concerned? (I captured it using my phone’s mic next to the pump) Here’s the recording: https://voca.ro/1mRUb1qCPEzB And the setup details are: MSI B650 Gaming Plus Wifi, AMD Ryzen 7 9700X, Corsair iCUE H150 RGB 360 mm AIO, Corsair Vengeance 32 GB DDR5, NZXT H7 Flow PSU (2024).

It depends on the pump model I’d suggest sharing your PC specifications so we can assist better. Are you using an AIO or a full water loop? The pump might also be handling air, which makes it even more challenging to provide guidance without details. Have a great day!

I believe I've found a solution. Adjusting the PC made a big difference.

Unfortunately, the issue persists despite adjusting the case. It seems to reappear intermittently even when conditions are favorable. I’m considering purchasing an air cooler and preparing for a return. You can watch the audio here: https://streamable.com/x5cgb6

The AIO pump is positioned at the lowest part of the loop. If it sits higher, bubbles might build up inside. When placed at the bottom, bubbles naturally move upward on their own. There are many quality air coolers available, so if you prefer not to use an AIO but still want a good one, why not consider another option?

Pump performance is reduced, radiator sits above it. I know bubbles will move eventually, but the noise bothers me and I think it won’t fix itself. That’s accurate, though I’m uncertain if they’ll agree. Someone else on another forum suggested lowering pump speed, but it’s stuck at full speed and Smart Fan isn’t enabled (it’s an MSI board). How can I adjust the pump speed? The MSI Center didn’t help because the BIOS overrides any changes.

Not all pumps support variable speed. Not all motherboard either. You need both. Well, if you are passed the return window, you can always try to sell your AIO. There should be a market for good 360mm AIOs with all the high-end CPUs introduced recently. Have a nice day !

It looks like you figured it out the hard way. I’m still holding onto it under warranty, and they might be open to exchanges—especially since it’s a tech firm that works with Corsair. If they don’t have any issues and accept it back in its current state, I could sell it and use the money to buy an air cooler.
