Hi all,
I received the Corsair HX1500i (2022) power supply.
I used a PSU tester with the 24pin - CPU - GPU - Molex cables connected, and everything looks good in terms of voltage.
However, the Power Good Delay sits at 90ms. Is this the expected value or acceptable for the HX1500i? I’ve seen ratings below 100ms as normal for ATX3.0 certified PSUs, but I’m not sure if a lower value is okay given the large inrush current.
I need advice before connecting it to my expensive PC setup. It’s a 360 euro PSU, and now this unit seems to be under stress. Please help.

PWR_OK values are typically seen as unusual if they fall below 100 ms or exceed 500 ms.
Regarding the HX1500i, according to reviews, PWR_OK should be approximately 145ms.

Thanks for your message. I've also been asking on Corsair forums, and the person who replied mentioned it's typical to have 80-90ms PG for these PSUs elsewhere. I received similar responses. When I removed one of the cables, it either affected the GPU or CPU, then the time jumped to 110ms PG, possibly indicating no current was reaching the CPU. I used this PSU tester and looked at the pictures on the forum (scroll down for readings). The replies said it's normal. (They who replied confirmed it's also normal.)

Also, regarding the ATX3.0 for the Corsair HX1500i (2022), it’s certified according to JonnyGuru and others. It seems that the Corsair RM lineup still needs to be verified on Cybenetics soon, as the official ATX3.0 certification should appear shortly. The HXi model is more advanced, but the ATX3.0 should be available soon.

Although 80-90 ms is slightly too low for what's considered normal, LeDoyen is right—if the numbers were significantly off, the CPU wouldn't allow the PC to boot up. Over time, what's considered normal has shifted. For instance, a few years ago, a 650W PSU was more than sufficient to power any single GPU setup. Today, however, you'd need a 1.2kW or even 1.6kW PSU just to run the build with one GPU. When using an i9-13900K, the CPU will consistently reach 95°C, regardless of cooling, which is now the standard for high-end Core i9 systems. That's the new reality.

The PSU tester only checks performance when the unit is powered on and idle. Using a multimeter would yield similar results, but it isn't the proper method since it doesn't apply any load to the PSU.

What the PSU tester does is akin to starting the car engine and assuming it runs perfectly without actually testing it. Trusted PSU reviewers (the ones I linked) apply real loads and measure performance, making their data a true "test drive" rather than just an idle check.

If I were to search the Cybenetics database for Corsair units, I'd find only two ATX 3.0 compatible SF-L models listed. That leaves me wondering about the compatible RM-series units you're referring to.

So would you say according to the intel gathered on what LeDoyen said and YOUR personal opinion on these new gen psu's with lower PG values i can just hook everything ie my MB -CPU etc etc without much worry it seems all the other voltage readings are within spec for 12v - 5v - 3v what do you say? Where can i test the actual PG via software or is there a simple to use software maybe with Corsair own icue software that comes with the PSU?
With that said once i put some actual load on my rig even just IDLE it is still a load i can see the PG timing with certain software correct?
