Hello everyone, I bought a Corsair HX1000i 1000 watt PSU for my RTX 4080. During installation, the PSU was hit in the top corner near the small warning sign saying “dangerous volt.” It worked fine with my old RTX 2060, but after switching to the new RTX 4080, my PC turned on with LEDs on both the motherboard and GPU, yet the monitor doesn’t show anything. I connected the monitor via HDMI to the GPU, but nothing happens. After switching the PC from the PSU, it won’t boot at all—no lights, no fans spinning, nothing at all! I’m really confused. Is there a problem with the PSU or could another component be damaged? I’m not sure and feel lost…

You're asking about the installation experience with the PSU. Did it get damaged during setup? Was it accidentally dropped and landed inside the case, potentially hitting the motherboard? Were there any visible signs of damage in the top corner? You can share photos here via imgur for further review.

The PSU model you mentioned is:

Only the cables included with the new PSU. The PSU was damaged during rotation when I hadn't screwed it in yet—it didn't hit anything.

Turn the PSU power switch back to the on position, and then press the computer case's power button again.

I’m not sure about the power supply issue, but did you really hit it hard?
