Corsair H115i Fans too loud!?
Corsair H115i Fans too loud!?
I understand the stock fans from the corsair h115i are quite loud, so I switched them to the corsair sp 140 red LED fans. After installing Windows 10, I completed all the necessary steps, including downloading drivers. Then I decided to overclock my i7-7700k CPU. Initially, the cooler was very quiet, but after the overclocking began, the noise started. This was my first attempt at overclocking, and I immediately increased it to 5ghz using a YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2H73cLbyzI. After applying the settings from that video, my PC became even noisier, so I adjusted the overclock to 4.8ghz, which matched the guide in the same video, but it was still loud. I then reset the BIOS settings, but the cooler remained noisy. I’m aware the noise likely comes from the fans, and I’m unsure what else I can do to silence it. I was confident I could overclock without issues, but I was wrong! I also tried setting the preset to "quiet" in the Corsair link software, but it didn’t help. My new PC is brand new, and I’m already facing some problems. My motherboard is an MSI Z270 Tomahawk.
Did you get it fixed? If yes, how? I missed the adjustments I made, but the fans seem calm now.
