Corsair H100i GTX Software
Corsair H100i GTX Software
I just received a H100i GTX and an i7-7700k. I updated the BIOS for the CPU. The computer starts up in Windows 10 64 bit and lists both the CPU and the cooler in Device Manager. However, there’s an explanation point by the watercooler, which I believe indicates no driver is installed. The CPU temperature fluctuates during idle, mostly around 31 degrees C, but it can rise as high as 70. This suggests a possible driver issue. I searched online but couldn’t find the driver. My main questions are: is this a driver problem? And where can I locate the appropriate driver? Also, I installed the cooler into the CPU fan header and did not connect it to the power supply. Any advice would be appreciated.
This URL to the Corsair assistance page will address every inquiry: http://www.corsair.com/en-us/hydro-serie...cpu-cooler
The driver is now active. I'll keep an eye on the temperatures.
Link is set up. Under heavy use, temperatures in the game range from around 65°F to a peak of 77°F. It's uncommon for it to reach 77, but it does happen occasionally.
I installed the water cooling and connected it to the CPU fan header. A video suggested converting it to the PSU connector for stable voltage and safety. What are your thoughts? If you're considering this, what component should I look for? You mentioned trying a male-to-female connector before, but couldn't locate the specific part mentioned in the video.
