You already have the bios files available on the site. Before updating to the newest version, erase the bios using the software, and then save the updated *.bin files.
Just remember, you'll need a functional computer with a USB flash drive—anyone's machine works fine. No need for a powerful one.
I’ve just switched to the Acer A515-51G-515J from my previous Dell Latitude E6530. This change helped me switch between three different BIOS versions multiple times when troubleshooting WinImageBackups not appearing on storage drives. Despite the quirks of these new laptops, I’m growing more frustrated with the BIOS choices in laptops compared to PCs with solid motherboard options.
I purchased a new bios chip with the correct BIOS preinstalled and connected it to the motherboard. However, the device I received from Amazon was damaged upon arrival and eventually lost during delivery, so I didn’t receive a replacement. I’m confident it would function properly if it wasn’t faulty. The soldering method is assured to work.
