your system is showing a lower RAM speed than expected. check if the drivers are up to date and ensure the motherboard supports the correct frequency for your Ryzen 5 5600x. you may also need to adjust the BIOS settings or contact Corsair support for further assistance.
Ensure the XMP or DOCP setting in BIOS is configured to 3600, then save the changes and restart the system.
By default, RAM operates at reduced performance. Many users don’t take advantage of the maximum rate. You usually locate a configuration in your BIOS named XMP. Turn it on to achieve full speed. If it’s absent, your motherboard may not recognize XMP.
Configure XMP according to the instructions provided. Detailed guidance is available in the manual regarding its location. https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/M...e_1201.pdf -Page 24 - You’ll notice it’s turned off by default. Note2 emphasizes that both RAM and CPU must be compatible, which is typically the case on AMD systems.
By allowing XMP, agreeing with other users' suggestions means if XMP fails to activate after saving changes in BIOS (when XMP is active), you might need to upgrade your BIOS to a recent non-Beta version. This update can enhance memory performance on Ryzen processors.
I changed the bios, but the xmp isn't functioning. I enabled it, saved, and exited. The pc emitted a beep, then turned on, but it's still running at low ram speed.
I changed it to slots 2 and 4, and now the XMP is functioning properly with a frequency of 3600mhz.
