Even pushing 1.55v won’t get it to run at 3400mhz. I’ve tried various voltages (IOH PL, IOH, ICH 1.1, 1.5, CPU PL, etc.) but nothing works. Now I’m left with just testing the high BCLK speed to see if it will cooperate. It might be that this specific SHIELD board is the issue, so I’m considering selling it anyway. I don’t need a motherboard that barely functions and can’t even run Westmere hexa cores—it just frustrates me.
Used 1.15 ioh, 1.39vtt, 1.8 cpu pll for 3600 and above with 200bclk. Might just be a bad imc.

Adjusting the settings helped it post, but I still need to manually set the RAM voltage. Thanks for the updates now—I'm curious how far it will go with a higher CPU speed. I found an Ex58 U3 at 23 dollars, which should replace this outdated shuttle board. However, I might want to boost the top clock speed next. It seems the BIOS struggles with RAM settings, so I should manually configure it now. If it works on Westmere, I'd keep it because it's interesting. Testing the P6T Deluxe v2 BIOS could help confirm if the issue is with the stock version. But how do I flash the files? I don’t have a PCIe Wi-Fi card, and even with a 9500GT heatsink, it might block the board.
Let me know what you need, and I'll send you some great DDR3 info. I’ve got a Super Talent Chrome 2000C8 and a G.Skill 2133 BBSE. I’m not sure which I’d trade, but the Chromes aren’t running on my Asus Z77—my Z77 OC Formula is the real winner. I don’t have the R3F or X5690 ES left, but I’m still feeling a bit guilty.
What ics are those running? found an issue with this board, stupid thing just sets jedec timings and wont let me change the timings even if im changing it in the bios, and seems like it depends on which multiplier i use which is very annoying esp when im gonna sell it since i need this thing to be compatible with the buyers ram Now im in the process of flashing an older bios to see if thatll fix it, if not ill look at the sx58h7 pro and sx58j3 bioses which seem to be far inferior adjustments wise, doesnt even tell me what volts im running just some garbage offset
Old school Hypers can handle 1600 6-6-6-20 at just 1.65v. They also do 1800 7-7-7-21 at the same speed. Their RAM is solid. I’m not sure if I’ll give them up, but I’ve got some BBSE and maybe a Hynix.
