The issue is that resetting the BIOS and enabling auto turbo will give a 44 multiplier on a 4790K. This is the chip's natural speed and doesn't require BIOS voltage tweaks to reach. The setting between 4.5-4.9 is overclocking. I've set the ring ratio to 44 and cores to 45, but it wasn't stable at 1.2. I've experienced random system lockups afterward.
