Hello everyone,
I recently bought the CPU mentioned in the title together with a Gigabyte Z270X gaming unit. However, when attempting to overclock using the base clock method, my system fails to POST if the base clock exceeds 103 MHZ. Before reaching that threshold, the system operates smoothly. This suggests Intel has implemented a restriction to prevent further adjustments. I’m curious how anyone discovered a workaround and would value any suggestions. Thanks.

The BLCK overclock was limited to Skylake (6***) processors on Z170 boards running factory BIOS versions.
