Hello everyone, I'm new to English and hope you're following along. I manage F@H almost around the clock and notice my CPU usage stays high, especially on my fourth core or Core 3, which is around 90-95%. Core 0 is about 50%, Core 1 a bit lower than Core 0, roughly 40-45%, Core 2 around 65-70%, and Core 3 at 90-95%. Why is that? Shouldn't all cores be used equally? I'm looking for a simple explanation. Thanks for the details:
- Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2
- CPU: Intel Core I5-750 2.80GHz (boosted to 3.1GHz)
- Graphics: Gigabyte GTX 1050 TI Windforce 4GB (not boosted)
- RAM: Corsair 12GB DDR3 1333MHz
- SSD: Samsung SSD 860 EVO 500GB

What configuration are you using? Certain slots operate with just one or two cores, and in those cases the thread is moved to the fourth core instead of the more commonly used one.

Are you adjusting your video card settings? If yes, your operating system requires one core, and each video card also needs a core. That means with your four-core CPU, at least two cores should remain active.

Right now my GPU isn't folding since it's loading the next project, so only the CPU is folding. Generally yes, I also fold on my GPU. Also, I'm set to "Medium" power, but it's unclear if that affects core usage.

Ensure two cores remain allocated, even during download delays. Launch Folding@Home advanced control (search for 'fahcontrol') and capture a screenshot of the 'folding slots' section. Ask how F@H handles CPU folding at varying load levels.

The information confirms the screenshot below is useful. It suggests making a change to "Full" might help.

The number two in the image indicates the slot is set to utilize up to two CPU cores (which is logical since one is reserved for the operating system and another for the graphics card). It's unclear why it's being used fully, though—possibly due to a Medium setting, but I'm not certain.

Are you sure? I thought "2" referred to Core 2, not up to two cores. Thanks for clarifying, and I get it now. Just checked the Task Manager screenshot to confirm the fourth core.
