I’ve already checked the bios and set everything back to the default. There’s nothing connected to the computer except a CD drive—I even removed it by accident. I attempted to run Windows from another PC and tried connecting them, but when I power on it it freezes at the loading screen, which is really frustrating. At this point, I’m wondering if the system might not be compatible with Windows 10, so maybe trying Windows 7 would help, though I’m not sure what that would mean.

It's possible the issue lies with the computer's ability to transfer files from the USB drive. This might stem from hardware, software, or other factors. Consider upgrading to Windows 7 first, then moving to Windows 10.

Sure, I’ll attempt it again with Windows 7. Let me know if you need anything else.

The system won’t allow this approach because Windows prepares the hardware setup it was installed on, blocking simple changes like relocating the HDD. Verify the SATA mode in your BIOS should be AHCI.
