My Windows has become severely damaged and I can't repair it. I moved it to a different SSD, and now my original drive shows all my files again. Can I simply transfer all non-Windows files to the new SSD? I've done this before with users in the Users folder, so I think it should be possible. There might be some dependencies that haven't been moved or installed yet.

I believe it will function, but I prefer copying files instead of relocating them, ensuring that even if the transfer fails or something happens, you retain the sole backup.

Yes, it is possible to copy saved files from a program and reuse them upon reinstallation.

Unless DRM-free programs is ok long as there's no registry.

Unless it's a portable edition of the software, it doesn't work. The outcome varies by program. It could erase existing save files, move newer versions into another directory, etc. It's safer to install first and only then transfer older save/config files, replacing any updates made during setup.
