I'm seeking controller-friendly gaming ideas. I've converted an old PC with my GTX 780 into a setup for a 46" TV in the man cave, allowing my wife to join me for games. Her main computer is upstairs, so we've relied on Skype for past sessions. Since it's not a traditional desk setup, it'll function more like a console with controllers. I'm flexible on genres but want solid FPS titles with engaging co-op modes. Current and upcoming picks include Gears of War 4, Final Fantasy XIV, Destiny 2, GTA Online, Magicka 2, Dark Souls 3 (DLC), and more.

Left 4 Dead 2 Battleblock Theater Borderlands 2 plus The Pre Sequel are available. Brderlands 1 might work with controllers but I don’t recall. If you play all three, try the pre sequel first then 2. Broforce Call of Duty is also on the list. I can’t remember which games support campaign co-op online. Some titles like Castle Crasher Pit People and Dying Light Gang Beasts are listed, along with others such as Human Fall Flat, Killing Floor 2, Move or Die, Panic Portal 2, Portal Knights Road Redemption, Rocket League, and Shadow Warrior 2.

Observe that few PC games offer split-screen functionality. Others provide cooperative play on a single screen, though most require two separate machines. The ones I’m aware of include Trine 1&2 (plus a few more...) and Nine Parchements from the same developer. There are also some larger titles like Procyon.

I'm working from my own PC at my desk while the other machine connects to the TV in the same room. More ideas will come soon!
