After many years of searching, I obtained a XPS 730x chassis a few years ago and constructed a custom computer inside it using these parts.
Mobo - ASUS Maximus VIII Ranger
CPU - Intel Core i7-6700k
GPU - MSI Gaming 980ti
I’m considering adding a custom water loop to cool the CPU, GPU, and motherboard, but I’m curious about arranging the airflow inside the case. Here’s a photo of the empty case I have: http://www.stuartconnections.com/5674-th...se-Fan.jpg
My current idea is to install a 2x120mm radiator in the front with a push-pull setup directing air out. For intake fans, I can place a 120mm fan on the back right next to the motherboard I/O shield and plan to 3D print an adapter for a 92mm fan in the extra expansion slots above the GPU.
I understand that positioning one of the intake fans at the top of the case goes against typical airflow layouts, but I’m constrained by the case design. Would my planned arrangement function or should I adjust it for better cooling performance?

I would simply use that top fan as an exhaust, I believe it would be more advantageous overall.
