The NF-A14 PPC 2000PWM pairs well with the Corsair Hydro Series H110i GT 280mm Extreme Performance All-In-One Liquid CPU Cooler?
the need is to block the airflow to the fins, just like you would with an additional fan
the blades on the noctua fans appear to be large enough in surface area so they will act as SP or AF fans, but since they don't meet the NF-F14 standard, the AF14 will be necessary, not that it's a bad choice to opt for the AF14—they are superior to most 140mm fans
so it would make sense to block the airflow to the fins, just like you'd want a few extra fans
