Hey everyone! I’m seeing some issues with my 3700X and my stock cooler seems to be pushing heat into the case space. With a GTX 1070TI already generating a lot of heat, it’s getting tougher to manage. I have two intakes on top, two front ones, an exhaust at the back, and another on the bottom front fan mount. I suspect something about my cooling setup is off, causing stutters and frame drops. Any tips or parts I should consider?

How much are you ready to invest in a cooler? Which type do you favor—an air cooler or an aio? Above all, what is your budget?

Before purchasing a new CPU cooler, arrange your fans properly—front and bottom as intakes, rear and top as exhausts. The standard cooler should suffice for normal speeds. Identify the temperatures on your CPU that trigger stuttering or frame drops using tools like Ryzen Master or HWiNFO. Avoid repeating the same advice across multiple posts; it’s best to cover it once in a single forum section.

I estimate around $300, though it seems expensive for a cooler. I already own Corsair items, so having Corsair would be great but not essential. I’m open to air or AIO coolers, but if there’s a decent budget AIO, that would be nice—since AIOs are usually better than air ones.

I can adjust it like that, but I worry the top exhaust might pull fresh air from the CPU via the front fan. What do you think? My readings show 63.3 on the CPU and 57 on the GPU (both at the maximum values in HWinfo).

I skipped the airflow section initially, but after reviewing it, I'm in agreement with @Mister Woof—start with better airflow, then focus on cooling.

No it won't do that If there is intake inthe front the cpu will get the fresh air from there (typically the best config )
