I already own an MSI B350 gaming carbon pro and I'm planning to add a CoolerMaster MasterLiquid ML240R. To manage the RGB effects from the gaming app, I need to link the water cooler to the motherboard, right? But is that possible? And if not, how trustworthy is the Coolermaster website for downloads? I attempted to install it but it didn't work.

I currently have a MSI B350 gaming carbon pro and plan to install a CoolerMaster MasterLiquid ML240R. To manage the RGB effects from the gaming app, I need to connect the watercooler to the motherboard. Is this possible? And if not, how reliable is the Coolermaster website for such installations? I attempted to download it but it didn’t install. My MSI Mortar has addressable RGB headers on the motherboard and came with an app that controls addressable RGB devices following the standard. If your motherboard doesn’t have these headers, I assume the ML240R includes its own external RGB controller that lets you manage it via software or buttons.
