Hey there! I believe it's achievable! You might need to use virtual machines to split your desktop PC into two parts. Tom, any advice you have?

Create a second user account on your PC, then launch Remote Desktop Connection. In the Computer section, enter 127.0.0.2 and click connect. Use the username and password you set for the new account, and you’ll effectively split your desktop into two. The simplest method—lucky you, no one else would notice this! ^ I just read your thread at the perfect moment, lucky 😂

I’m aiming for dual displays and peripherals, treating it as a distinct machine with its own drive allocation.

Take a look at this creator's content. Though not widely recognized, they produce quality videos that match your needs.

Using the trick mentioned above, if needed, there might be some software called ThinXPand (or a similar name) you should know about. If you're working in a VM, it's easy—just put the VM in fullscreen on your second monitor and navigate to USB devices in your hypervisor, then select your mouse, keyboard, and forward them to the VM. The interface should be straightforward enough to follow along; otherwise, YouTube can help. "How to send keyboard and mouse to a VM"

I understand the query was unclear and wide-ranging, so I guessed what he might have aimed for.
