Hi everyone, I purchased the NZXT H150 case, which has a USB-C port on the front. My motherboard doesn<|pad|>, it lacks a USB-C header (it’s an Asus Strix B450-F). Can I modify the USB-C cable to work as a USB-C connection?

You can use USB 3.0 5Gbps adapters, though they tend to be costly. Look for USB 10Gb to USB 3.0 adaptors online.

There are options available like the Lian Li PW-INC1TR and Silverstone CP14, which convert a USB 3.0 header into a 3.2 Gen 2 (USB Type C) header at 5Gb/s speeds. Since you only have one USB 3.0 header for the standard USB port, you might need to:
- Purchase a board with two USB 3.0 headers (plus adapters)
- Use a board featuring a USB 3.2 Gen 2 front panel header
- Disregard USB Type C or standard USB and opt for adapters
- Search for a PCIE USB Type C front panel card (not yet available)

You might find an adapter available, but a Type C high-bandwidth port isn't essential. If you don't require it, connecting won't cause any issues.

Yeah, something like that. Thanks for the link! A shame the design is kind of lame, with the header on the bottom (rather than on the 'far end' of the card), as someone else points out in one of the reviews.

This should function correctly. There are numerous comparable choices offering more USB Type A 3.0 ports, so if this path suits you, consider one with a robust feature set.
