Thanks everyone for your assistance. It's essentially fiber connected via Ethernet over that ADSL line using three twisted pairs, into the router in my office. The connection only provides an 80 down 20 up internet speed. I'm running a server, along with my PC and NAS through the router and switches. That's why physical cabling is necessary here. Speed tests are all within range.

I’m seeing a solid 80MB download speed online, which is great. I think upgrading to faster internet could push it closer to 100MB, especially since I’m not using full Cat5 connectivity. The internal network runs through Wi-Fi and devices like TVs and laptops, so it’s all interconnected.

You’re all set with the connection at 100 megabits per second—great job! I wasn’t anticipating such a strong performance.

I used to work with network engineering, so I still have those old tools. I thought about it and figured I might not have needed to ask at first. Thanks for your assistance!

I take a pragmatic approach to possibilities within our team. We often hear about ambitious goals being met early on, but I focus on realistic outcomes. I respect the expertise of senior engineers and have limited hands-on experience with actual network deployment. My work mainly revolves around leveraging existing resources.

I cut a few cables, likely didn’t finish them all. I gave up on installing outlets because they never function properly at Gigabit—the crimps keep coming up, and the tools I tried were supposedly superior according to local telecom engineers.
