You're looking to upgrade your old ADSL line to a standard Ethernet setup. Since you have the faceplates ready, you can likely connect it directly if the cable supports the required speed and format. Check the specifications of your current line and ensure it matches the Ethernet standards you want. If needed, you may need to use an adapter or a compatible modem. Let me know if you need help finding the right equipment!

Remove the existing wiring and install Cat 5, Cat 6, or Cat 7 connections.

you may get a 100Mbit line trough that, but chances are you'll just get horrid signal because the cable is defenately not made for it. and by that point.. wifi may actually be the better option.

It’s only about 10 meters into the wall, but it’s really tough to install a new one under the carpet through multiple doorways and stairs. Replacing it isn’t an option either. I need the pin information to connect it. I’ve already purchased everything needed.

However, you'll receive a maximum of 100Mbit at most. It's unclear, but connecting the unused pair to ground at one end could help minimize the risk of it acting as an antenna.

It’s CAT 3 UTP, built for 10Mbit/S. Though I’ve heard it can reach 100Mbit, I haven’t tested it myself. The cables are thinner and the twisting is less. You’ve likely invested in some expense, but unless you have metal studs or concrete walls, Wi-Fi will perform better and more consistently.

I’d likely start with WiFi, unless it’s unreliable then you might consider the 100Mbit option over cable. If things really go wrong, VDSL ethernet adapters could work, but probably you’d try a WiFi Mesh system first. You’d need a very poor connection to still get 100Mbit via WiFi nowadays.
