Controller feels off during PC Bluetooth connection.
Hey there, I've noticed the same issue with my Xbox Series Wireless Controller. When using Bluetooth, the vibration feedback isn't consistent and sometimes doesn't sync with the game. It works perfectly with a wired connection. I've tested it with several games, including Rocket League, Forza Horizon 4, GTA V, and Watch Dogs. I've even tried using the Xbox Accessories App to disable vibrations, but it doesn't seem to affect the settings for wireless. Could anyone help me figure this out? Thanks, Bill
Check how it performs at about 10 to 20 centimeters from the BT dongle with the controller. If it works fine, the issue is likely distance. This is typical for USB Bluetooth dongles—they tend to have range limitations. I've tested around four units, but only a Trust model within less than a foot from the controller succeeded. Also, if USB connectivity is unlikely, it's probably a BT5.0 connection rather than BT4.0.
If problems arise with your Bluetooth adapter, this one is a solid choice for replacement: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07V1SZCY6. Both I and my brother use it with an Xbox controller, and we haven’t encountered any issues. It supports Bluetooth 4.0, yet the range is surprisingly strong—you can move around the house and still enjoy music without interruptions.
I’m already using the controller in that area, working with my desk and monitor, so range doesn’t seem to be the problem. I also looked at the LMP version and it indicates it should be 5.0, which is confusing. It looks like a different dongle might be the right solution.
