Control Center 3.0 LED Keyboard is designed for enhanced usability.
I recently purchased a Gigabyte G5 KC with a preinstalled control center. It worked well at first, but then I noticed there were no effects available. It didn’t allow me to use a white backlit keyboard either. I tried installing an obsidian PC LED keyboard to get the white backlit keyboard I wanted, but still couldn’t achieve the desired results. No cycle, breath, or wave. I’m a bit disappointed, though—I think it’s possible they limited these features.
It seems you're referring to a product listing. The URL provided links to a single-colored backlit keyboard from Gigabyte.
the thing is that i found a software which allows me to change my keyboard's color to whatever i want, not just the limited options in the control center 3.0. my only concern is why the effects or modes stop working when they should cycle through colors instead of just changing one at a time. it seems like the manufacturer might have restricted the laptop from doing this even though it's possible. the "Startup Override Boot Effect" already shows it can cycle through colors, but why wouldn't they enable it for regular use, not just at startup? basically, the override boot effect occurs when you open the laptop, the keyboard color changes, but once the laptop is running, it returns to a fixed color.
I know it's been awhile since you've posted this, but I've just bought this laptop second hand for a great price. What was that software you found that'll let it do more colors than just control center? I've been looking everywhere but can't find anything. Thanks!
