Windows 11 Pro. I've observed that left-clicking on taskbar items or Chrome windows no longer functions properly with the mouse. The only solution is pressing Control + Alt + Delete. To activate this, you need to press the down arrow key on your keyboard and then press Enter while in Task Manager. This is because you can't simply move the mouse and click Task Manager. I'm using an XPS 15 9520 with a wired monitor and two external displays. Anyone know why this happens? I searched online and many people report similar problems. Recently, I restarted my laptop, shut it down, and turned it back on. The issue persists. Now I rely on Control + Alt + Delete, using the keyboard and scrolling to enter each time. My Logitech trackball wireless mouse also has problems, but even if it did, wouldn't the laptop's scrollpad be affected? Also, I just installed a Windows update recently. I thought this would resolve the issue since there hasn't been a notification for a while. However, it still appears. Security Intelligence Update for Microsoft Defender Antivirus is available, but my Kaspersky license expired some time ago, so I'm using only the free Microsoft Defender version now. I recall experiencing this problem before, and after restarting, it would often fix it. This time it didn't seem to work. It seems clicking on the taskbar isn't possible with multiple open tabs, and even pressing X doesn't help. Could it be related to my Logitech trackball? My touchpad issue is unclear since it's working fine there too.
