The throttle stop interface displays EDP OTHER under Core, GPU, and RING sections. It often turns red when something goes wrong. Scrolling a webpage triggers a flashing red alert. I looked into it but didn’t grasp the reason. I’ve included my screenshots for reference. Also, could you clarify what EDP OTHER and PL2 mean on the throttle stop settings page?

You must turn off Windows 11 Virtualization Based Security (VBS), including core isolation memory integrity, for ThrottleStop to function properly. Enabling VBS blocks direct CPU access required by ThrottleStop. https://beebom.com/how-disable-virtualiz...indows-11/ Remove the ThrottleStop.INI file and disable VBS. If you prefer the latest Windows 11 security options or WSL2, ThrottleStop won’t work. In the TPL window, ensure the MMIO Lock box is checked. Adjust Long Power PL1 to 30 and Power Limit 4 to 0 for potential EDP throttling fixes. Share a screenshot of the FIVR window if VBS was successfully disabled.

I followed all your instructions. Here’s the screenshot reference: Also, what is MMIO and why is locking it important? And what happens when power limit 4 is set to 0? You can see the EDP OTHER column turning red often, except for the CORE and GPU sections after clearing limits. The PL2 under the CORE column also turns red frequently. What does PL2 stand for? Thanks.
