Continuous attempts with my system, I'm struggling to figure things out.
Six months prior to this, my computer failed and displayed a blue screen. When it attempted to restart, it launched into a Windows boot manager on a spinning indicator I kept for backup since data loss was a recurring concern. After identifying the problem, I removed that drive from my boot settings. Two months later, it again blue-screened and crashed with the same error code. Re-trying didn’t resolve the matter; eventually, it turned out to be a dead Samsung 970evo M2 drive. I sent it in for repair, and about a month after, I received a new drive with no issues so far. This evening my computer restarted with the same error code: 0xc000000e, pointing to the file \windows\system32\winload.efi—the same as in the previous two incidents. I’ve checked my BIOS and attempted to disable that spinning option again, but it was selected as the top boot device. This time it worked, yet when accessing the SSD from the RMA drive, it appears in Windows, while Disk Management shows it under the system specs. It detects this issue in my BIOS. System details: OS is Windows 11 (previously on 10), CPU is Ryzen 5 3600X, motherboard MSI Meg X570 Ace, 64GB RAM at 3600MHz (possibly dual 32GB), GPU is EVGA GTX 1080Ti SC2. Storage info from HWinfo shows the SATA SSD labeled as “just sata ssd” is actually a Micro Center brand. Please let me know if you need any details to help diagnose this problem. I’m at a complete loss and might consider selling the whole unit except the GPU, starting fresh. Side note: just before my BSOD occurred, Spotify desktop would frequently malfunction. Could this be connected? Edited March 30, 2022 by Chaos Network
