Continuing to restart repeatedly during gameplay
I recently assembled a PC about four months ago and have been experiencing frequent shutdowns and error messages. I reviewed the Event Viewer, which displayed a kernel power 41 critical error. All my components—RAM, drives, GPU—appeared normal. During gaming sessions, temperatures on the GPU range from 40-50°C while the CPU stays between 70-80°C. I suspect the power supply might be the issue, especially since it was the only non-new part from Corsair. The specs are: CPU AMD RYZEN 5 5600X, GPU MSI GTX 970, motherboard B550 Aorus Elite AX V2, RAM Team T-Force Delta RGB 32GB, SSD WD Blue SN570 1TB, and PSU Corsair HX520W. I've tried various solutions but haven't found a fix. This only occurs during gameplay.
That's something I haven't experimented with yet. Will it erase everything?
It didn’t happen for a while before the new GPU worked, now it’s happening with both. Could my CPU be overheating at 80°C? If not, give it a try.
I performed a fresh installation on the GeForce Experience if that's what you intended.
Best practice involves removing all graphics drivers before taking out the old GPU using DDU. From my experience, GeForce Experience's clean install option isn't very reliable. Uninstalling and reinstalling drivers manually might be a better approach, though results are uncertain.
