So a while ago my PC stopped working and I thought about upgrading. I tried using the same RAM to see if it would work, but it wouldn't respond. When I installed the old components again, the problem persisted. I ended up building a new system with an MSI Z490 gaming motherboard and Corsair Vengeance RGB 32GB RAM at 3600MHz. It worked perfectly. After finishing the build, my roommate mentioned something about a RAM issue on the monitor, but when I checked, both channels were correct. Everything seemed fine until I restarted the PC—then the DRAM light appeared and the system would power off and turn back on. I tried replacing one stick in the second channel, reseeding it, and putting it in the third and fourth slots, but the issue continued. Now it keeps restarting and shutting down.
I recall issues with my MSI x470 Pro Carbon when installing RAM as well. I don’t have the exact steps, but I think I repositioned all the power connectors and tried swapping the RAM until it functioned. It seems the problem might have been something else, like the CPU not being seated correctly. Sorry I can't assist further.
