Construct GuidanceComplete and total beginner to the computer realm
Hello everyone, this will be my initial computer assembly. I'm in search of a mid-range gaming PC to transition from my Xbox (so think titles like Starfield, Diablo, Forza). Spent the evening creating specifications on PCpartspicker and am hoping for some/any feedback. Thanks in advance

1800 dollars; where would you set a limit?
1900? 2100?
Considering how inexpensive SSDs are nowadays, I'd highly recommend more than 1 TB total storage..........unless you have a solid justification to believe that will be sufficient for several years.
You might think about a dual drive setup. Personal choice. Windows and applications on one; everything else on the other.
Case cooler maximum height; 165mm
Noctua D15 height; 165 mm.
Probably will fit, but that's cutting it close. I'd be a bit concerned.
Welcome to the community, novice!
In my humble opinion, if you're sticking with the H9 chassis, I'd opt for an AIO. If you consider a traditional front to back airflow case, you're going to be fine with the air cooler.
I was honestly aiming to keep it under 1500 as it’s my first attempt at anything remotely similar to this. Regarding the Noctua, I was informed it’s quite sizable and just included it as a placeholder. Any suggestions?
I assume you mean the case. I have no particular preference at all, just liked the all-glass aesthetic but want to maintain the white. (Apologies as I mentioned, I’m completely new to all this)
How about something like this.
For whatever reason, this cooler isn't appearing on PC Partpicker. Add it to this build.

DeepCool AG620 WH ARGB Dual-Tower CPU Cooler $54.99
Low profile RAM so it doesn't obstruct that dual tower CPU cooler. The 120mm fan goes inside the back of that case for a rear exhaust fan.

A better look at those components.

That’s some kind of sorcery. Not a big fan of the case but I’m sure I could find something else if I searched harder. How much would I be losing out on if I switched the 7 7700 for a 5 7600x? (My foolish self didn’t realize the site was in USD instead of CAD)
- also if I were to change the CPU to a 5 would anything else need to be altered?
This is at 1080P. There will be even less of a difference between the 7700 and 7600 at 1440.
Passmark benchmark single thread scores:
7700X; 4276
7600X; 4221
7700; 4165
Less than 3% difference worst to best.
7600X roughly 100 dollars less expensive than the other 2 per Passmark? It has 6 cores instead of the 8 in the other 2. Don't know when those last 2 cores might be significant.
Yeah, noticed and thought I’d ask to see if there was a reason for the drastic difference but seems not. After switching to CAD pricing, I guess I’ll have to discard the 1500$ limit ($2000). Did observe that there are a few GPUs on EBay for around $450-500 compared to the brand new ones at 750$ so might just have to get what I can for the cheaper items and pick off the GPU, CPU, and motherboards online as I find them second-hand.
