I concur and would receive a larger CPU cooler for that. Perhaps an additional case as well.

I already have three fans on the front panel, but they might not be ideal. I’ll review the cases and see if opening the side panel could improve things.

Many people mention comparable temperatures for the 5800. Some suggest it heats up more since it uses a single CCD with all eight cores running. Consider exploring liquid cooling options. Good luck!

I attempted to remove the side panel but it didn't make a difference. After restarting at the end of the day (PC had been off for about 8 hours), temperatures remained steady between 30-35°C, even though I kept Eco mode off and didn’t adjust anything else. Once I started Cyberpunk, CPU temps spiked to around 70°C with peaks at 80-85°C when all graphics settings were maxed out. After closing Cyberpunk, idle temps stayed above 45°C. In the Task Manager, I noticed Corsair Service Remote was consuming 5-10% of CPU power. I had disabled iCue earlier but reinstalled it and saw temperatures drop to about 38-40°C during idle. It seems the issue was likely iCue affecting my CPU performance. I’m considering undervolting or lowering graphics settings if high temps persist while gaming.

It's unusual but feasible. Even after resolving the issue, it's wise to verify the hardware aspects to prevent future problems. Double-checking is recommended. If you lack an exhaust fan, consider acquiring one.

My 5800X runs smoothly with temperatures under 280mm AIO, staying perfectly safe for your CPU. Clock speeds might drop slightly at 90°C, but that’s just the PBO target—so long as you don’t go past it, everything stays within specs. Based on your performance, you could even push it a bit higher without problems.

I reduced the upper temperature limits by 11°C on my 5800x. I’m using a custom loop (Ek Classic kit P360) and observed temperatures around 82°C in Cinebench and 85°C in Prime. The EK-SPC pump seems to have limited power, so I’m curious about its impact on heat output. My motherboard is a B550 Strix with PBO enabled by default. Room temperatures sit between 23-24°C. The solution works well with various watercoolers like CLC and openloop. The main issue with Ryzen is that the CPU hotspot isn’t centered, which usually happens with monolithic dies. However, watercoolers are built for a solid die where the hotspot sits in the middle. The German overclocker/YouTuber Der Bauer developed a product called "RYZEN 3000 OC Bracket" – it fits Ryzen 5000 and most ATX boards (see list for X570). It repositions the coldplate center on the die, helping move heat more efficiently. He has detailed videos explaining both versions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JlJDv68fEcM. I also switched from Arctic MX4 to Kryonaut thermal paste, only testing briefly, but it made a noticeable difference: Cinebench max temps dropped from 82°C to 72°C after five passes, and Prime from 87°C to 77°C in just ten minutes – though 77°C was just a brief spike. On average, I’ve seen around 74°C. This product is available only through Caseking, which I’m not sure about worldwide availability, but it worked well for me.
