Constant BSOD crashes
Constant BSOD crashes
Hi everyone.
The PC at my workplace has been experiencing constant crashes accompanied by endless BSOD messages, and I've been asked to attempt a fix. Every method—booting, safe mode, etc.—results in the same problem. Eventually, I chose to reinstall Windows from scratch and wipe the entire system clean.
At first, I tried installing a Windows 10 ISO on a USB drive and reinstalling that way. However, it eventually blue-screened again later. Recently, I decided to purchase a Windows 10 installation disc and followed that path. I adjusted my boot settings to use the disc, began the installation on the HDD, but when the system restarts it still triggers a blue screen.
I deleted the partitions, assuming previous driver access might be causing the issue, but the crashes persisted. I wondered if rebooting after the install might cause the system to attempt booting from an older Windows version. In the BIOS, I disabled any alternative boot methods except for the installation disc, yet it still showed a blue screen.
I can share some of the crash messages if you need them, but there are many different ones. Based on what I've read, the problem seems to relate to a driver issue. I also removed and reinstalled the RAM cards, thinking that could be the cause.
Feel free to ask any questions if needed!
Thanks in advance!
Hi. There have been several BSOD messages; I’ll try to list them.
Security check failed in kernel
Page fault in non-paged area
Critical process terminated
APC index mismatch
Registry filter file exception
Invalid push-lock flags
And more that I’ll share if they keep happening.
About the hardware:
Intel core i5-7500 CPU @ 3.40ghz
Two 4gb DDR4 Corsair 2133mhz modules
I’m not sure how to check the GPU via BIOS since I can’t reach the PC.
Thanks!
