Your laptop runs an Intel i7 9900K with an RTX 2060 and consistently achieves 130-150 FPS across both low and ultra settings. Someone might know why this performance drop occurs.

I think it’s thermal throttling, especially since it’s a laptop. Keep an eye on the CPU and GPU temperatures using HWInfo to check if they’re high. If they exceed around 80, you’ll see what’s happening.

I verified that the CPU temperature is at 93 degrees. It might be worth sending it back for cleaning dust, or there could be a simpler solution you can try yourself. When I purchased the laptop, it operated with the fan running at 0 RPM during idle, but it increased to 3000 RPM when idle.

Verify your screen configuration because Windows maintains a default frame rate of 60 frames per second or less. Adjust the settings manually to see if performance improves.

Your PC is older than 1.5 years or more, so cleaning the thermal paste and putting in a fresh one might resolve the overheating issue you're experiencing.
