Consider a full OS reset. Windows 10 can work as a main system, but it may feel unstable for everyday use. 8.1 is simpler and less likely to confuse you. As a light user, 7 users should handle it without trouble.
It's not quite done yet, there are still too many problems. 8.1 works well, and once you remove all the issues it becomes a quicker 7. However, stick with 7 until 10 is complete—don’t rush to 8.1.
It's simple to set up, but I wouldn't suggest relying on it as your primary operating system. It's a "Preview" version that expires in April 2015, after which it will stop functioning and you may face issues if you try to purchase a key to upgrade from the preview to the full release. You could use it as your main OS only if you're comfortable with occasional updates, frequent changes, and needing a clean install when the preview ends.
