I have a 32GB rig with a 2x16GB setup. I spend a lot on editing photos and videos, so most of the time it works fine. However, when I generate many previews or export lots of photos in Lightroom, my memory usage hits its limit. Lightroom tends to take over any unused RAM. I’m also considering trying video editing soon. That’s why I’m thinking about adding another 32GB. The problem is the original kit I bought isn’t available anymore: https://www.newegg.com/g-skill-32gb-288-...6820232899. I’m unsure if it’s necessary for the same speeds from G. Skill. Do they really need to match exactly? My current setup includes a Ryzen 9 5900X, Asus Crosshair VII, Hero Radeon RX 580 (which I really want upgraded but can’t afford right now).

You need two things:
1. If you can locate another RAM module with matching speed and latency (like 3200 c14), you’ll be okay—DRD4 is quite adaptable.
2. GPU costs are falling now; I recommend purchasing a 3060 Ti or similar model.

1. If you can locate another RAM module with matching speed and latency (like 3200 c14), you’ll be okay—DRD4 is quite adaptable.
