Hey everyone — here’s what I’m considering for the upgrade.
I’m looking at two options in my area:
The GTX 3060 12 GB — brand new for $280
And the RTX 4060/5060 8 GB — about $367 (this is my tightest budget).

My main tasks are:
- Video editing with Adobe Premiere Pro (no 3D work)
- Gaming at 1080p, with examples like Space Marine 2 running ~30 FPS on low settings
- Streaming live at 30 FPS

My main questions:
Which card offers the best value for my needs (editing, gaming, streaming)?
Which will perform better in real life for all these tasks?

Extra points to consider:
I don’t need GPU rendering for 3D, but I use GPU-accelerated effects and playback in Premiere.
Thanks for any practical insights or benchmarks you can share!

PSU: 650watts
650W is the stated power output of the PSU, but details about the brand, model, and age are needed.
For a warranty, it's best to choose a new unit for added confidence.
In my area, the prices are comparable and just within my budget.
Where are you located? Would you prefer a specific site for buying? What is the make and model of your device?

The challenge you encounter with your GPU choices is that the fastest card among the three, the RTX 5060, suffers significant performance drops on PCIe 3.0 systems that are constrained by your motherboard, such as yours. To prevent this, you’d need a B550 or X570 board.

This problem isn’t universal across all games, but when it occurs, it can turn a game into a frustrating experience. It mainly affects situations where you’re playing at higher settings or with maximum performance.

I suggest considering the RTX 4060 TI instead of the 4060, as it matches the 5060’s performance and occasionally outperforms it slightly. It also avoids the PCIe 3.0 limitations that the 5060 faces.

If the RTX 4060 TI isn’t available, the 5060 remains a solid choice, especially if your system supports PCIe 4.0 or better, and you plan to upgrade later.
