I got a Cyberpower PC last year knowing I would upgrade the RAM at some point. The issue is, it came with 1 stick of 16gb TeamGroup memory. I know not to get 1 more stick of unpaired ram to add to it so I was looking at 2 new 16gb sticks of G.Skill Ram. My question is, would I be better off running just the 32gb of new paired G.Skill in channel A or adding the old Teamgroup single stick to that in Channel B (slot 3 so to say). This is a quick rundown of my computer... CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700 Motherboard: B650M C V2 (rev. 1.0) Memory: 1 stick of 16GB DDR5-6000 TeamGroup Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB

You're interested in the G.Skill kit, but unless you're running low on RAM, consider keeping the TeamGroup version or selling it.

Determine if extra memory is necessary compared to higher performance RAM. For gaming, 32 GB suffices and doubling with two 16 GB units provides dual-channel benefits. A configuration of two 16 GB plus another 16 GB would enable flex mode, allowing some RAM to operate in dual-channel while others stay single-channel. Newer 2x16 setups typically support dual-channel, whereas older models may only run in single-channel. Speed varies based on usage, so if performance isn't critical, extra memory might be fine but not essential.

For better results, purchase two sticks from the teamgroup line. Using the same brand and product line ensures compatibility and peak performance.
