While purchasing my 325a, I opted for the single ship since I have access to the game through my freelancer package. This hasn't caused any issues for me. However, there might be a temporary glitch, but it should be resolved soon. Unless you're particularly eager, you probably don't need to buy another ship right now.
Only the aurora and the origin 300i are available in Arena Commander so far—it's not an issue. If you already have a small vessel such as the Avenger, think about upgrading to a larger ship like the Freelancer for transport missions or exploration. The Cutlass suits a pirate role (Yarharharrrr), and the Constellation is ideal. You can't manage that alone; it's recommended to have a crew of four.
