I was browsing CEX for an i7 from the 4th generation for 200 euros. Looks like it’s a solid deal I think.

The issue arises when attempting to overclock the GPU, causing crashes. The card includes a GPU Boost feature, but only reaches around 52 MHz on the core and 127 MHz on the memory bus. Pushing beyond these limits damages the hardware.

The additional threads on the i7 will become beneficial soon as more cores are added. I’d choose the i7 4770K or 4790K personally since the 4770K isn’t ideal at the moment, but I’m confident it will be better in 2019.

There are numerous games available for your 750 TI. Prices are gradually decreasing, and eBay offers a solid option. Ensure you choose components from sellers with perfect ratings. I plan to keep my R9 390 until at least 2025, possibly 2030 if I opt for a more efficient card. Edit: your CPU performs better than mine, and I’m managing games without issues. Staying on the lookout for attractive GPU deals would be ideal. Browse popular promotions and you might find something appealing.
