I'm considering changing my console since the prices for PC parts are quite high. In Spain last year, a GTX 1050 Ti with 4GB RAM was around 140 euros, but now it sells for 210 euros or more. The new GTX 1180 is rumored to cost about 900 dollars for the base model, which doesn’t help much. RAM is still very costly—around 8GB for 87 euros. The only drop in prices has been on SSDs, and I bought a 240GB one for 53 euros.

Your concern revolves around considering a move to a console environment. What questions do you have about this transition?

I'm unsure about the best approach. I've been holding out since December or consider selling the PC to buy an Xbox One S priced around 230€ with Assassin's Creed Origins.

This seems similar to a "Change my mind" episode. If you prefer the freedom of PC, the PS4 offers a great alternative.

You need more flexibility with your PC, but the costs are too high for you.

Prices are expected to rise, that’s simply reality. Nothing remains constant in terms of cost over time. The market evolves, and you don’t need the latest specs if they’re no longer necessary. As tech progresses and performance boosts, you can often get by with less powerful gear. For instance, an 1150Ti should handle 1080p titles without breaking a sweat. If you can’t afford it, look for alternatives. Consider refurbished parts, as suggested by @Christophe Corazza. I mostly purchase used equipment because the thrill lies in finding deals. This time I assembled my setup for just $350 Canadian. For those seeking consoles, they’re ideal for budget-conscious buyers who don’t need premium hardware to enjoy games consistently. I’m selling mine now since its value has increased, and I’ll upgrade to an Xbox One X when relocating. Welcome to a community where discussions thrive!

In reality, the only items available for sale are RAM. If you're considering a GTX 1050 Ti, the cost of the GPU is around 175 €, and shipping typically ranges from 15 to 25 €. Some people believe it's worth selling a used GPU for 10 to 20 percent less than its original price.

That's why I'm aiming for a GTX 1050 Ti because it's more affordable and offers a good balance between performance and cost compared to what it was.
