You have a Z97 Extreme 4 with a 4770K that only barely overclocks. I recall using Multibeast for hacking into high Sierra, but I’m curious about the latest updates. Can I still run this old hardware? Would it be possible to install a card and play Mac games from your Steam library?

I used hardware that was almost identical, yet the installation kept failing. You might attempt it again, though the latest updates seem to complicate the process even more.

I tested a 660ti and an R9 390; maybe a 580 or 970 would have raised concerns, but I didn’t try them.

I think I can try this out. It's been a while since I've worked on it. I have a 970, a 7950, and a 4770k GPU. The best setup would be a vega64. But I'm not sure if I'll find a RadeonVII with a dual-link DVI port. If I manage to pair it with the iGPU, I'll start experimenting with different cards.

I doubt the 970s will fit the latest updates and possibly a single new version.

Hey, your 3770K Catalina is in good shape. Just steer clear of multicrap tools and aim for a clean, original setup.

The vanilla setup is straightforward given this hardware.
