Considering a downgrade to Windows 7 depends on your needs and system requirements.
I really enjoy Windows 7 and have always used it. The issue is that when I ordered my new computer, it came with Windows 8.1 and I don’t like that. After Windows 10 was released, my friends suggested I upgrade. Still, I prefer Windows 7. On kinguin.net they’re offering Windows 7 at a very low price right now. Is switching to it worth it? Will I face problems with updates or the operating system? My friends mentioned Microsoft won’t support Windows 7 anymore after the latest update, but what does that actually mean and will it affect me? Please help!
You may set up Windows 7, but reducing the Windows 8 license won't work
Do you have the premium edition? That way you could simply launch a Windows 7 virtual machine on your Windows 10 system, just like I did, Hyper-V is quite straightforward.
Based on my own experience, I suggest postponing an upgrade to Windows 10 due to several compatibility issues. I had to reinstall and repair Windows three times before getting a clean install. If you're running Windows 7 Pro, it might be better to invest in Windows 7 Pro first and then upgrade to 10 Pro when the free upgrade period ends. However, if you only have Windows 8.1, consider waiting a bit longer before upgrading, as it will likely become 10 Pro eventually. Personally, I found 8.1 quite handy for touchscreen devices, but that’s not a big deal unless you have one. Let me know if this helps!
She mentioned wanting to move everything to another operating system right away.
