i upgraded from my gtx 1050 to gtx 980 for the same price a very great deal but now that i also have two monitors i was thinking of a cpu upgrade i cant go from intel to amd because a amd board would cost as much as my i5 7400 that im using right now in our damn country so i was thinking if its worth upgrading from i5 7400 to 6700 should i got for it?

These improvements are the only options available if you aim for something similar to Day A RTX 2060. You might need to wait 3-4 years before it becomes obsolete.

It's preferable, though a 7700k would be better. For a more modern setup, consider setting aside more funds for a current CPU.

I share the same view as commanderalex. This update seems to be heading in the opposite direction. I believe 1050 runs slower than 980, yet your CPU is jumping from the previous generation to the latest one.

Why would you choose older hardware? Also, are you referring to an i7 6700? It doesn’t appear there, but upgrading to i7 6700 is possible.
