Greetings everyone,

I’m Sidney, and due to my age of 14, I'm currently operating on a limited budget. I’ve assembled a computer primarily for casual gaming, but I’m experiencing some performance issues like lag, and I’ve been suggested to improve it by upgrading my memory and graphics card.

Here are my current system specifications:
AMD A6 (3.5 GHz) processor
4GB DDR4 RAM
500GB Hard Drive
2GB AMD Radeon R7 GPU
500W Power Supply Unit

If anyone has advice on how to accumulate approximately £100, please send me a private message to discuss this further or any other concerns you may have. I presently possess around £20.

Feel free to ask questions or share your thoughts in the comments.

Thank you for your attention.
Sid.

Understanding your specific graphics card is important. A 2 GB R7 can represent a diverse selection of mid-range cards. This amount of VRAM (2GB) encompasses many budget options, and R7 refers to a group of midrange graphics processing units.

Nevertheless, it’s advisable to have conservative expectations. You've created a basic setup on an outdated, inexpensive system, and frankly, you’ve assembled a gaming configuration that will consistently operate at a lower level. A Ryzen 2400G or 2200G processor utilized without a dedicated graphics card would have been a more logical choice.

DSzymborski :
It would be helpful to know what actual GPU you have. 2 GB R7 can be a pretty wide range. 2 GB is just the VRAM and R7 covers a number of midrange cards.
However, I would keep your expectations limited. It's a low-end build on an ancient, budget platform, and realistically speaking, you built a rig that will always be a low-end gamer. A Ryzen 2400G/2200G built without a discrete GPU would have made a lot more sense.
Its intergrated graphics.
I can upgrade parts as I get ££ was my thought

Understanding your specific graphics card is beneficial. A 2 GB R7 model can encompass several mid-range cards, though. Nevertheless, it’s advisable to manage your expectations; this represents a basic setup on an outdated, inexpensive system, and honestly, you've created a configuration that will consistently operate at a low level for gaming. Pairing a Ryzen 2400G or 2200G processor without a separate graphics card would have been a more productive approach. I lacked the funds for a Ryzen.
